Kupwara : District Child Protection Unit, Mission Vatsalya Kupwara today organised training Cum Capacity Building programme on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015, POCSO Act 2012, Adoption Regulations, and child rights at Mission Vatsalya Hall Branwari Kupwara.

The program presided over by District Child Protection Officer Kupwara and was attended by Chairperson Child Welfare Committee Kupwara Ab Rashid Malik, Members CWC, Member Juvenile Justice Board Kupwara Mohd Ishaq Dar, District Child Protection Unit officials, Anganwari workers,Prosecution Wing JJB Kupwara & social welfare officials.
The programme conducted under the overall supervision of District Child Protection Officer kupwara Mir Hidaytullah & was facilitated by Protection officer DCPU, Member Child Welfare Committee Mudaseer Qurashi, Social Worker Shayista Muzaffar.
During the program, various speakers highlighted the crucial role and responsibilities of stakeholders in ensuring the effective implementation of these Acts and encouraged active participation.
Mohd Rafiq Shah delivered the introductory speech on the structure of Mission Vatsalya thereafter Chairperson CWC Kupwara explained the importance of the programme and gave a detailed description of working mechanism regarding Child Welfare Committee at the district level and detailed discussions were held on the rescue and rehabilitation process for various categories of vulnerabilities such as child labourers, begging child, missing child and runaway child, as per JJ Act.2015.
Speaking on the occasion Gh Mohd Lone Protection Officer (NIC) highlighted working of DCPU- Mission Vatsalya and role of various line Departments.
On the occasion Mohd Ishaq Dar (JJB Member) highlighted about the role of stakeholders related to Child in conflict with law.
The certificates of participation were also distributed to acknowledge the active involvement of the participants in the programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants and organizers for their contribution and support.
