Srinagar : The National Road Safety Awareness Week 2025 concluded in Srinagar with a series of impactful events aimed at promoting road safety and underscoring the importance of adhering to traffic rules. The initiative, jointly organized by My Bharat Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and the Traffic Police Srinagar, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the city’s youth and public.

The highlight of the week was a grand rally, which saw the active involvement of over 630 young students, spreading vital road safety messages throughout the city. The rally traversed key areas, with participants holding placards and banners advocating responsible driving and pedestrian behavior.

Prominent officials, including SSP Traffic Srinagar Muzaffar Shah, RTO Srinagar Qazi Irfan, and ASP Traffic APA Gulzar Ahmad, attended the event, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in enhancing road safety. Their presence served as a source of inspiration for the participants, highlighting the collective responsibility in creating safer road environments.

In his address, SSP Traffic Muzaffar Shah highlighted the critical role of youth in fostering a culture of road safety. “Following traffic rules is not just a responsibility but a necessity for everyone’s safety. We must all pledge to contribute to a safer Srinagar,” he urged.

The week-long program featured various activities designed to educate and engage the public on road safety measures. The event garnered an overwhelmingly positive response, reflecting the community’s commitment to fostering a safer road culture.

The organizers extended their heartfelt gratitude to all participants, officials, and the public for their support and participation, which were instrumental in the success of the initiative.
