Srinagar : Khelo Kashmir with collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Srinagar and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, successfully organized a two-day District-Level Sports Meet 2025 at HMT Srinagar on January 28 and 29, 2025. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and community engagement among the youth of the region.
The sports meet featured six competitive games, attracting 150 participants across various age groups. The events included:
Badminton
Skipping Rope
Kho Kho (for girls)
Volleyball
100-Meter Race
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Inam Hussain, Chairman of Khelo Kashmir, who served as the Chief Guest. Commandant 44 BN CRPF, Mr. Serush Kumar, applauded the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to strive for greater achievements in sports.
At the conclusion of the event, winners were awarded medals and mementos in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hussain emphasized, “Such initiatives are vital for nurturing young talent and promoting a culture of physical fitness among youth. Khelo Kashmir remains committed to organizing events that inspire sportsmanship and healthy competition.”
