Opinion | Drug addiction and Youth

 A chemical substance that leads to a change in once physiology and psychology when consumed differ from food, the latter provides a nutritional support.Drugs are consumed by human beings through a number of routes of administration viz inhalation, injection, smoking, by oral ingestion, by absorption or by disolution under the tongue .

Some pharmacological drugs treat,cure , prevent or diagnose a disease or promote well-being of an organism (human being), used for a limited duration or on regular basis for chronic disorders.

Drug addition  is a neuropsychological disorder having a persistent and intense urge to use a drug despite harm and negative consequences .Repeat of drugs alters the normal functioning of brain.It leads also to “Biopsychosocial disorder,despite substantial harm and harmful consequences.Examples of drugs and behavioral addictions include Alcoholism, addition of psychotropic substance Such as Mari juana, amphetamine,cocaine , nicotine, opiods substances also video game addictions, gambling addiction, pornography addiction and sexual addictions.

Among Human beings no doubt the victims of drugs of all age groups bare needs and knows no boundary of age groups among Human population but the most vulnerable group is the youth, especially the adolescents around the age group of 12-18 years , that is why (“Drug addiction and youth”) has become a world wide slogan to debate upon for the awareness of humans.

Majority of the drugs are obtained from flowering plants and fungus-opiods from latex of poppy, cannabinoids from cannabis sativa,coca alkaloid or coccaine from coca plant botinically called Erythro-xylem coca ( native of South America).

Others include Barbiturates,amphet amines,Benzodiazepine, Morphine, normally used as medicines to help patients cope with -mental illness like depression but if taken for a purpose, Other than medicinal use, which Impairs Physical, psychological,or physiological functions ,it forms drug abuse.

Why do the youth become easily the Drug addicts readily because it is the age group or duration in mans life for curiosity , need for adventure and excitement experimentation which motivates youngesters towards these abuse.

So far religious and beliefs are concerned no ideology of belief permits the use of Drugs and Alcohols according to their protocol of Jurisprudence ,the Holy Quran Reveals oh believers -Alcohols , Gambling, Astrology etc are from devil deeds ,so prevent yourself from these ,”so there is a clear cut decisions for humans with respect to such actions.
