Kupwara District Hosts Mega National Anthem Recitation Programme to Foster Unity and Patriotism
Unity is the cornerstone of a strong, resilient society. It is through unity that we overcome challenges, celebrate our victories, and build a future that is inclusive and prosperous for all. One of the most powerful ways to cultivate this sense of unity is by nurturing it in our children.
Children are the torchbearers of tomorrow. Their innocence, enthusiasm, and boundless potential make them the perfect ambassadors for unity. By teaching our children the values of togetherness, empathy, and cooperation, we lay the groundwork for a society that thrives on mutual respect and collective effort. Children are like sponges, absorbing the values and lessons imparted to them. When we instill the importance of unity in them, these values become deeply rooted and shape their worldview. Young minds are incredibly influential. When children embrace unity, they inspire those around them.
In a remarkable display of unity and patriotism, the Kupwara District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan (IAS), organized a Mega National Anthem Recitation Programme at the Galizoo ground. This event, which saw the participation of over 10,000 school children from both government and private schools, was marked by a spirit of enthusiasm and fervor as patriotic songs echoed through the grounds.
The programme began with a grand assembly of students led by Deputy Commissioner kupwara, all standing in unison to recite the national anthem. The sight of thousands of young voices harmonizing to the anthem was a powerful reminder of the country’s shared values and aspirations. The event was not just about reciting the anthem but also about instilling a deep sense of national pride and unity among the younger generation.
Adding to the patriotic fervor, a mega plantation drive was conducted, symbolizing the district’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan led the drive, encouraging students and the general public to participate actively in planting trees. This initiative aimed to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment, highlighting the interconnectedness of national pride and ecological stewardship.
Following the plantation drive, the Deputy Commissioner led the gathering in a Swachhta (cleanliness) pledge. This pledge underscored the importance of cleanliness and hygiene, aligning with the national Swachh Bharat (Clean India) mission. The collective vow taken by thousands to keep their surroundings clean was a testament to the community’s dedication to a cleaner, healthier India.
The highlight of the event was a historic Tiranga (tricolor) rally, which saw students and community members carrying the Indian flag with pride and joy. The rally not only celebrated the national colors but also served to mobilize the general public for the forthcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This rally aimed to encourage voter participation and ensure a robust democratic process.
Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan, in her message, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among the citizens. She applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and urged them to carry forward the values of unity, cleanliness, and environmental responsibility.
The Mega National Anthem Recitation Programme at Galizoo ground Kupwara stands as a significant event in the district’s efforts to inculcate a sense of national pride and collective responsibility among its residents. Through the harmonious voices of thousands of children united by chief education officer kupwara and his team, the green initiative of the plantation drive, and the spirited Tiranga rally, the district showcased a vibrant example of community engagement and patriotic fervor.
