Since the abrogation and declaration of the state of J&K as a Union Territory(UT), Kashmir development has been the governing body, i.e. BJP’s responsibility. With Amit Shah’s visit to Kashmir, and its cities like Srinagar, Rajouri, and Baramulla, they have tried meeting and presenting to the people how BJP solely has been working on the development of Kashmir. The partial blame of this credibility also of course goes to the successors of Sher-e-Kashmir, Sheikh Abdullah and the Muftis.

some scenarions of development. Medical College coming up in Gulmarg, Expressways making connectivity a better option. The number of civilians lost has dropped down, with an increase in the success rate of deradicalisation of the youth in Kashmir, many additional efforts are in place, but these were not included in HM’s speech, instead factors that would get him and BJP some recognition, and evidently votes for the ballot. Tourism in prime areas like Gulmarg have increased, from a total of 1L+ visiting in 2021, approximately 7L+ visited this year. While Kashmir is progressing, it still is stuck on the platform of political battle. We need focus on the growth and development of our infrastructure and people as a whole, not just used as political fodder for the political parties all around.

The people of Kashmir do demand growth and stability in our beautiful UT, but want to not be used as a political fodder and be instead used as a strong point for the nation, to show the beautiful ranges in Kashmir, the import the delicious Apples and for foreigners to die for some Kahwa, which can help in the growth of Kashmir.
