It shows complete disregard for human life and dignity. No belief, religion, or political cause can ever justify such cruelty.
Yet another dark day has shaken the soul of Kashmir. The attack, sudden and brutal, left the nation stunned. Gunshots pierced the calm of this beloved tourist spot, turning joy into chaos and laughter into cries for help. Families, children, and elderly visitors — ordinary people who had come to admire the valley’s natural charm — found themselves caught in a storm of violence. Some were injured. Others never made it back home. This was not just an act of terror — it was an assault on humanity itself. A shameless attempt to tarnish the spirit of Kashmir, to break the sense of peace and hope that so many have been trying to rebuild. Innocent lives lost. Dreams shattered. And once again, a heavy silence has fallen over the valley — not of snow, but of grief. The attack deserves nothing less than total and universal condemnation. This pain is not just Kashmir’s, it is everyone’s.
Attacking innocent visitors — people who came to enjoy the beauty and peace of Kashmir — is one of the worst crimes imaginable. It shows complete disregard for human life and dignity. No belief, religion, or political cause can ever justify such cruelty.Tourism is a symbol of peace and togetherness. When terrorists target tourists, they not only harm people but also try to destroy the hope and harmony that tourism brings. Those who were killed or injured had come with goodwill. Their only wish was to experience Kashmir’s natural beauty — and they paid for it with their lives.Kashmir has suffered a lot over the years due to violence. But recently, things had started to improve. Tourists were coming back, and local people — like shikarawalas, hotel owners, pony riders, and artisans — were beginning to hope again. This attack not only killed people, it also threatened the peace and livelihood of thousands of Kashmiris.
Because of this attack, Kashmir was once again shown in the news as a place of violence, instead of the beautiful, peaceful land it truly is. Most Kashmiris want peace, development, and a better life. They strongly condemn such attacks. In fact, they are also victims — their hopes for peace are damaged by such violence.Leaders from all political parties, social groups, and religious organizations condemned the attack. The government promised strong action against those responsible. Security was increased to protect visitors and restore public confidence.People across the country showed their support by sending prayers, standing in solidarity with the victims, and saying loudly: we will not let terrorism divide us. Even the international community reacted with shock and called for justice. Everyone agreed that terrorism is wrong — no matter where it happens or who it targets.
But the most powerful response came from ordinary people. Locals in Pahalgam helped the victims — by donating blood, giving first aid, and offering comfort. This act of kindness showed the real face of Kashmir: one of compassion and hospitality. “Mehman Nawazi,” or the tradition of treating guests like family, stood tall even in the darkest hour. This tragic event reminds us that we must stay united against terrorism. Communities, leaders, and citizens all need to work together to build peace and stop hatred from spreading. We must avoid divisive politics, which only make things worse.
The Pahalgam attack was a cruel act with no excuse. But while terror tries to spread fear, we must answer with unity. Let us honor the memory of the victims by fighting for a world where peace wins over violence, and where such tragedies never happen again. The message is simple and strong: Terrorism has no religion, no justification, and no future. But humanity does — and it will always rise above hatred.
