One line said it all: IED Recovery, Woman among five held, booked under UAPA in Poonch!

‘Evil begins when you begin to treat people as things. Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions. Stupidity
is the same as evil if you judge by the results. We object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.’! Thee result was the same as Rohit Basgotra and his team prevailed as always’!

‘Evil Intent by Jane Isaac , I was reading last night! The plot was supreme and what writing by the lady and mind you readers it was not
fiction but reality! The brief, ‘when a series of women’s bodies are discovered in the heart of rural Hamptonshire with a pentagram carved
on their chests, Detective Helen Lavery is forced into a cat and mouse chase with a murderer who ultimately turns the tables and targets her.

Meanwhile, she is shocked to discover that her younger son’s new best friend is the nephew of organised crime boss Chilli Franks – the man who has held a grudge against Helen’s family since her father first
put him away in the 1990s. As her personal and professional lives collide, Helen finds herself in mortal danger as she races to track
down the serial killer and restore safety to the streets of Hampton.’ This was a thriller to reading. But I also read a reality!’

‘Five militant associates were apprehended and booked under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the recent recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Poonch
district! There was a woman who to was involved!’

Extremist groups rely upon women to gain strategic advantage, recruiting them as facilitators and martyrs while also benefiting from their subjugation.’

This is a network that include perpetrators, mitigators, and victims—and rarely enlist their participation in efforts to combat
radicalization.’

‘Women fuel extremists’ continued influence by advancing their ideology online and by indoctrinating their families. New technology
allows for more sophisticated outreach, directly targeting messages to radicalize and recruit women.’

It also provides a platform on which female extremists thrive by expanding their recruitment reach and taking on greater operational roles in the virtual sphere.’ Honey traps have to be scraped of’

‘The failure of counterterrorist efforts to understand the ways in which women radicalize, support, and perpetrate violence cedes the benefit of their involvement to extremist groups.’

Omitting women from terrorism prevention efforts also forfeits their potential contributions as mitigators of extremism. Women are well positioned to detect early signs of radicalization, because fundamentalists often target women’s rights first.’

‘As security officials, women provide insights and information that can be mission critical in keeping the peace. And because of their
distinctive access and influence, women are crucial antiterrorism messengers in schools, religious institutions, social environments,
and local government.

‘Names are many and few i will relate, female terrorists pose a threat to private organizations and governments, who hire them in low-level positions without security checks and they allow them traditional access to sensitive information afforded clerical
personnel. Police officers might also be lured more easily into ambushes by pleas for assistance from female terrorists faking attack.

Profiles of famous female terrorists include Tamara Bunke (or ‘Tania’), who was associated with Che Guevara; Sylvia Rafael and Marianne Gladnikoff, both of whom worked for the Israeli Mossad; and an American ‘freelance’ woman terrorist. The celebrated Patricia Hearst case is also recounted to illustrate the benign feelings

‘People who claim that they’re evil are usually no worse than the rest of us… It’s people who claim that they’re good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of. So may the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house.’

What happened on 09-2022 becaus.  something did with an evil intent: An information was received from BSF about the presence of some Suspected person carrying an IED like substance in Poonch for planting somewhere and endangering lives of innocent/securityp ersonals etc,” police said in a statement issued here.

Soon after receiving the information, police said, different teams were constituted along with CAPF manpower by SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra under the Supervision of ASP Poonch Mushim Ahmed, Dy.SP Hqrs Poonch
Nawaz Ahmed and Dy.SP Operation Poonch Manish Sharma respectively to nab the suspects to avert any incident.

Accordingly, it said, all the sister agencies and ground sources were activated for early and timely action.

The information was further developed and corroborated by police under the Supervision of Manish Sharma (DySP Ops) Poonch that a bag containing steel box having an IED fitted in it kept by some unknown persons in Prade Park Poonch.

On this police party, along with personnel of BSF, CRPF, lady police of omen Cell and Bomb disposal squad tactfully recovered the IED from the spot and was diffused the device.
-Moreover, one lady namely Zaitoon Akhter (35) of Qasba was apprehended from the spot and was brought to police station Poonch for
questioning. On this, he said, a case (FIR No. 202/2022) U/s 4/5 ESA Act stand registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation was taken up.

During sustained questioning and interrogation, she disclosed that this IED was brought by her husband namely Mohammad Azad of Qasba, police said.

Special teams were constituted to nab Mohammad Azad of Qasba who was arrested in the instant case and during initial interrogation he revealed that he along with one person namely Qamar Din of Kirni are
in touch with their relatives in Pakistan,” it said, adding,

His maternal uncle namely Bashir Ahmed alias Tickka Khan associated with LET/ HM and reportedly is deputing persons who have exfiltrated to (PaK) for subversive activities , also names of two brothers of Qamar Din namely Najim din lias Naja and Latief are living in Mangbajri camp PaK associates of Bashir Ahmed came out in
investigation.

During the course of investigation and on the disclosure of Qamar din , police said, one Pistol, two Magzine and 43 rounds were
recovered from Keerni in the presence of Executive Magistrate.

All the above mentioned persons are involved in subversive activities and are the main handlers who are pushing explosive
materials to harm Indian sovereignty and integrity,” police said, adding,
-On the disclosure of Mohammad Azad, two more persons namely Wajahat Khan and Kamal Din of Kirni who were aiding them in carrying and transporting consignment upto Poonch were also arrested with the active support of Banvat Bn. of Indian Army.

Police said UAPA sections 13/18/23 & 39 and other relevant sections of law were added in the instant case and further investigation is
going on.
In view of present security scenario, the synergy exhibited by various security agencies stopped the nefarious design of enemy,”
police added.

In conclusion I will only say that the world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the
people who don’t do anything about it. But Rohit Baskotra SSP did something that was extraordinary! He stamped out the devilish and evil intent!
