Every individual among us has his or her own opinions, has his or her own ideas, and possesses a gallery of knowledge regarding counselling for others. In our surroundings, we have a good number of people who have the ability to guide us and solve our problems. Parents have always played a great and very significant role in the overall development of their children’s. Parent’s role starts from the birth of the infant, and it never gets to an end because of emotional attachments and unconditional love for their children’s. So this is quite true and amazing that after Allah, we have parents who love us, who care for us without having any meanness, who push us towards the goals of success, and who are our well-wishers. It’s mandatory for all of us to take care of our parents, as they have taken care of us when we had no experience, no food, no clothes, no name, and no recognition.
One thing that is very beautiful is that there are still people in this world who have love for others and are ready to aid others without having any means. Such people are very important for the upliftment of the nation. There is no unique identity for such great people; anyone can take this position who is good in their hearts and has manners for others. It’s our duty to respect such philanthropists and make them happy.
I still want your attention. I am trying to tell you that, directly or indirectly, it’s our duty and responsibility. How can we access and examine our younger ones, and how can we give them what they literally need for their good future?
Examination is a common word for us; we are used to it. While having gossip, chit chats, and discussing serious issues, we use the word examination. To be honest, I am always afraid of and uncomfortable with word examinations. Basically, through examination, we are accessing the potential of the learners in any field, but one thing is clear: we never judge a person by his or her marks in any field or in any subject. As we know, an examination is taken in a very short time; it may be 1, 2, or 3 hours, but the examiner and paper setter have to follow the rules and regulations of conducting the exam. For example, in any exam, the examiner asks us one question or two questions from a lesson that has 15 to 20 questions. Sometimes we say it’s our bad luck that only this question from the all 20 questions I skipped, so except for this question, I know all the remaining parts of this lesson. So question mark… For the examiner to decide the potential of the learner. Sometimes learners have good ideas regarding what the examiner asked them, but they have communication skills problems. Sometimes learners do not have good writing skills. So at the time of paper checking, the evaluator declares the learner failure, average, or something else.
Exams are important but need more effective and useful techniques at all levels, from pre-school to university. –
We have been so kind and patient while dealing with the learners. As we know, the Almighty has bestowed on us great minds, but there are people who get things a bit late; some take hours, some take days, and some take weeks, so we can’t judge anyone’s future within 30 to 40 minutes. You have got me; literally, I want to let you know the role of the syllabus. The syllabus is declared before any examination, but papers will always be kept hidden until the last second. The syllabus remains constant, or, I can say, the same for all the learners; this is not fair. As those learners who are having problems with three or two subjects are getting under pressure due to the overload of the syllabus, the completion of a syllabus never means we have touched on each and every part. Literally, we learn by repeating and revising. When we apply or use this technique of repetition and revision, it will take us more time than the stipulated time given for the completion of the syllabus. We need learners who have no confusion, not the learners who have 90 percent of marks, and during any tough time or in any emergency circumstances they lost their control and were declared failures.
Rebate in the syllabus for those who are slow learners or have some other problems; they should not be considered as they are nothing or have no potential. Should be encouraged so that they will not quit schooling at any level. They need more and more time from family, friends, and teachers; we have to always keep them on priority so they can close their gap and do the best and greatest things for the nation.
