We learn things by imitating others. We get interested in any activity when it gains fame and charm among the people. We reach the top when we show great performances that we like the most. Some activities are anti-national, anti-religious, and anti-human; we should never think of or ignore them in our society. In the present era, we are tackling a number of issues, like drug addiction among youth, unemployment, and unskilled youth. Every day things are getting worse and we are getting worried, but one thing is very fortunate: in our heaven valley, we have good people who are pushing our youth towards beneficial activities and taking them out of unnecessary, unlawful, and harmful activities.

Today, the face of Kashmir Valley is changing due to various reasons, like the young and present generation of the valley taking an interest in the business sector. We have ample dedicated youth who have been generating employment for the thousands of unemployed youth in the valley for the last couple of decades. In the past, we had the wrong perception that acquiring an education could make us rich, provide us with government jobs, and cater to handsome earnings. In fact, this perception is not bad, but today we have quite different perceptions regarding our future. We can make our future great in all respects, and a government job is not the only solution. First of all, we prefer the field in which we have an interest, like business, sports, etc. No profession is small or big; your interest and level of dedication determine whether you make your dreams come true or not.

I have met various people who are at higher levels in government and in the private sector, but I have noticed that they are not satisfied and have regrets about why they have chosen what they don’t like and why they have not chosen what they deserve. Lack of interest always makes your job burdensome for you and pushes you towards destruction. Your interest in something makes your job great and changes it. There are people who have given decades but are still far away from their life goals, and at the same time, there are people who are quite satisfied with what they have achieved and provide counseling, skills, guidance, and employment to ample unemployed youth.

Today in this article, I am going to share with you what I am actually going to explore. Today I saw on Facebook that some efficient and dedicated youth were performing the job of commentator during a live match that was played between two semi-finalist teams. I was very impressed by how the youth of the valley showed their interests in sports activities and promoted sports activities like football, cricket, volleyball, cycling, etc. One thing is clear and fair: cricket is one of the most popular games in our country. In every corner of the valley, cricket is played. In remote areas of the valley where there is uneven terrain, I have seen youths adjusting hooks and crooks and enjoying their favorite game. During the last couple of years, the government at all levels has tried to reach every corner and provide sports grounds, kits, and other facilities they need.

How can we generate employment in the sports field in the valley?

One thing is quite fortunate: youths are taking an interest in and liking to engage in sports as players, umpires, ground staff, organizers, and commentators. So the government can generate employment by introducing posts in sports fields like academies for those who want to take different positions like commentary, umpiring, and organizers. So the administration can promote sports activities at the village level in a very effective and beneficial way. It’s not true that some people say cricket has no future because only 11 players are supposed to represent their country, and the chances are rare. For those, I am suggesting that sports fields have a great potential for generating employment, and at the same time, the sports sector has the potential to take our youth away from unlawful activities and can be promoted at any level in the valley.
