During a routine Naka Led by DO pallahan Dar Aeraf under the supervision of SDPO pattan Nawaz Ahamd khanday at Renji pattan, during Naka checking one suspicious person who was coming from hygam towards Renji, carrying a bag in his hand , on seeing police party tried to escape from spot but was tactfully caught by the police party at naka .

The suspected person was searched and during search of his bag 05 bottles of codeine phosphate (jetcoff) 100 ml each and 144 tablets of spasmoproxyvon plus was recovered from his possession.

On questioning the person revealed his name as Azad Ahmad sheikh S/O Mohd Arif sheikh R/O Astan mohalla Tarzoo .

Meanwhile a case under FiR No. 281 /2022 u/s 8/21-22 NDPS Act was registered in ps pattan and Investigation taken up.

People highly appreciated the efforts the Baramulla police and pattan police also requested people if you have seen any suspected person in drug activities kindly inform pattan police.
