PM Shiri Govt High School Gagal Zone Khumriyal Organized Mega Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Awareness

Kupwara : PM Shiri Govt High School Gagal Lolab Zone Khumriyal District Kupwara took a significant step towards environmental conservation by organizing a Mega Plantation Drive under Go Green initiative of PM Shiri Scheme on 20 March 2025 within the school premises. The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students towards nature and promote a greener future.

Students, teachers, and staff enthusiastically participated in planting a variety of saplings, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment. The initiative was led by Head of the institute Mrs. Parveena Akhter, who emphasized the importance of afforestation and sustainability in today’s world.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Parveena said, “This plantation drive is a small yet impactful step towards combating climate change. It is our responsibility to nurture nature for future generations.”

The event concluded with a pledge to protect and nurture the newly planted saplings. The school administration expressed gratitude to all participants and encouraged students to continue such eco-friendly efforts beyond the school campus.
