Police arrested 2 drug peddlers, recovered 300 Kgs of poppy straw like substance at Zangam Pattan; Case registered

On routine naka checking near Zangam Pattan, Police under the supervision of Inspr. Sarjan Ahmad, SHO PS Pattan, PSI Aeraf Niyaz, IC PP Palhallan & PSI Showkat Ahmad of PS Pattan signaled a Alto vehicle bearing registration number JKO5E-6826 to stop which was coming from Baramulla towards Srinagar. During search of the vehicle around 300kgs of Poppy Straw like substance was recovered from the said vehicle and arrested two drug peddlers who were identified as:-
1. Jehangir Ahmad Lone S/O Mohd Sabir Lone R/O Chennad, District Baramulla.
2. Ashaq Hussain Magloo S/O Mohd Ramzan Magloo R/O Chennad, District Baramulla and the vehicle was also seized.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
