Police arrested drug peddler in Ganderbal, narcotics recovered and seized

GANDERBAL : To eradicate the menace of drug abuse prevalent in the society, Ganderbal Police continues its strict action against the drug peddlers. One more notorious drug Peddler arrested with Contraband Substance at Gadoora under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal.

During Cordon and Search operation at Gadoora by PC Ganderbal and Police Party of PS Ganderbal led by SHO Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Contraband Substance Crushed Cannabis with seeds like substance was recovered and seized on the spot from a Tin Shed. The accused was arrested who on questioning disclosed his identity as Ab Majeed Bhat S/O Gh Mohamad Bhat R/O Baran Pattan A/P Gadoora

In this regard, Case FIR No. 334/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Ganderbal, and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate the deadly menace of Drugs from the District and such action will continue in future. General public is requested to cooperate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to drug peddling so that appropriate action can be initiated under law.
