Police arrests lady drug peddler in Awantipora; Charas recovered

Awantipora : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested lady drug peddler in Awantipora and recovered contraband substances from her possession.

Police Station Awantipora received reliable information regarding presence of contraband in a residential house at Larkipora.
Accordingly, police party of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora and led by SHO PS Awantipora Shri Khalid Fayaz along with Tehsildar Awantipora raided the said house. During the search, 20.500 KGs of Charas like substance has been recovered from the residential house of one lady namely Fareeda Akhter R/O Larkipora.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 173/2024 under relevant provisions of law has been registered in police Station Awantipora & investigation has been initiated. The lady drug peddler involved in the commission of the crime has been arrested.
