Addressing the gathering, Chairman DDC emphasized that the week-long activities as part of Prashasan Gaon ki Ore are aimed to disseminate information about various welfare schemes and ensure public grievances are addressed at their doorsteps.
He said these initiatives are part of efforts to enhance public outreach, raise awareness about government programmes and directly engage with the public to understand and resolve their issues effectively.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the introduction of various online services, including revenue records, ration cards, and Tap water and electricity connections, emphasizing the convenience and efficiency these services bring to the public.
He also underscored the importance of the Public Services Guarantee Act, which ensures the timely delivery of services within specified timelines.
The DC urged residents to take full advantage of these online services, making access to essential government services easier and faster.
During the event, the DC further urged the residents to prioritize registering their grievances with the concerned departments, assuring them that all issues would be addressed within the designated timelines.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Agricultural Officer Bandipora highlighted the transparency in the processing of applications, ensuring that all procedures are fair and accessible to the public.
Programme Manager Umeed NRLM elaborated on several welfare schemes available to the public, particularly the ‘YUVA’ initiative and urged the youth to take benefits of this mission.
During the event, several issues were raised by the public including concerns about the availability of health services, slow pace of work on the flood channel protection wall, uninterrupted filtered water supply and others.
Responding to the above issues, the Deputy Commissioner assured the residents that all these concerns will be addressed promptly and urged the concerned authorities to take appropriate action to resolve them at the earliest.
Among others, the event was attended by District Programme Officer Bandipora, Chief Agriculture officer, Lead Bank Manager, District Information Officer, BDO Naidkhai, public representatives and a large gathering of the general public.
