Progress of JJM, HADP schemes reviewed at Handwara

KUPWARA : In order to ensure timely completion of works under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and saturation of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in sub district Handwara, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi Friday chaired a series of meetings with concerned officers, here.
While chairing the meeting of PHE officers, the ADC impressed upon the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of work and ensure completion of all ongoing JJM schemes in the sub district to mitigate the water supply issues of people of various areas.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion regarding the status of various ongoing water supply schemes coming up in different areas of PHE division Handwara.
It was informed that 10 schemes have been completed under JJM in the sub district besides, out of the total 122 allotted works pertaining to construction of Bore wells/Tube wells/Dug wells, OHTs, RSFPs, GSRs/Pipe Network, 59 works stands completed and work is in progress on the rest of the projects.
The ADC chaired a separate meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and other schemes of the Agriculture department. He enjoined upon the officers to ensure awareness of the HADP scheme at grassroots level so that maximum beneficiaries are covered and benefitted under the ambitious scheme targeted for upliftment and welfare of the farmer community.
