Punjabi singer Alfaaz hospitalised after assault at Mohali dhaba

Punjabi singer Alfaaz alias Amanjot Singh Panwar has been attacked, shared singer Hirdesh Singh alias Honey Singh. The rapper took to Instagram to share the incident and mentioned that the assault was carried out on Saturday.

A probe has been launched. As per sources, the singer had gone to a dhaba (local eatery) on Landran Road in Mohali on Saturday night. He got into a fight with the accused after the latter had a showdown with the dhaba owner. The accused, identified as Vishal, was trying to escape when Alfaaz approached his car. The accused and his accomplices allegedly attacked the singer and fled.

An FIR has been lodged against Vishal and his accomplices in Mohali.

PUNJAB POLICE’S STATEMENT

Mohali Police booked Vicky, who is a Raipur Rani resident, for hitting the Punjabi actor with a pick-up tempo after an altercation broke out between the singer, the eatery owner and the suspect over money matters on Landran-Banur Road in Mohali.

The authorities have registered a case against Vicky under sections 279, 337, and 338 of the Indian Penal Code at the Sohana Police Station. Sources said the Chandigarh-born singer was coming out of the Pal Dhaba after having dinner with his three friends- Gurpreet, Teji, and Kuljit- when there was an argument between suspect Vicky and the eatery owner.

Vicky requested Alfaaz to mediate but seeing that the owner was not paying his money he tried to flee with the eatery owner’s tempo. While fleeing, he hit Alfaaz and seriously injured him.

Honey Singh shared an image of an injured Alfaaz, who is being treated at a Hospital in Mohali with a visible head injury. Taking to Instagram, Honey Singh wrote, “My brother Alfaaz was attacked last night. Whoever planned this… I won’t let you go !! Take my word !! Everyone, please pray for him.”
