Rakhi Gundmanchar Inhabitants Anguish Over Encroachment of Playfield.

Kupwara : The inhabitants of Rakhi Gundmanchar Lolab in Kupwara District expressed anguish over encroachment of playfield in the area.

Locals said that they have approached district Administration as well as Lolab administration several Times but no avail till date.

State land is being encroached again in our area by few person’s but the concerned department is not serious about the issue.We have made up several requests but no outcome till date”,the inhabitants of the Rakhi Gundmanchar said,

“Our Playfield is being encroached and it’s  going in bad shapes day in and day out but our administration is not paying any kind of attention towards the sports field.”,We urge the administration to take necessary steps in this regard

In one side,govt is ordering to vacate all state land where ever it has been encroached but we are unable to know why our area is hidden from the eyes of administration”, they further added,

“Our playfield is waiting for the maintenance and should be filled, so that our youth can take part in sports activities”,adding “It looks lake instead of playfield now”,

“Lack of Playfield forces our youth to play on roads or to get involved in other wrongdoing activities.We are sure that through media our voices will be listened and issue will be addressed on priority basis”,they said,

When contacted Tehsildar Sogam Inam Ul Haq,he said that “I have taken charge Tehsildar Sogam recently and would like to thank to media outlets for brought this issue into my notice.

“I assured you that,we will evacuate the state land in Rakhi Gundmanchar in coming days and Our drive against this illegal encroachment will remain continue in future and whosoever try to violate the norms will be punished as per the law”,the officer said,
