Dr Jitendra Singh, who is a sitting Member of the Kathua-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency posted on X, “Under PM @NarendraModi, remote #Doda villages are getting road connectivity for the first time since independence.”

“New #NHIDCL & such other projects connect hilly Marmat belt, including my native village #Kalota, where our forefathers never got to see a motor vehicle in their lifetime,” Dr Jitendra Singh further posted.

Meanwhile, MLA Doda West and BJP leader, Shakti Raj Parihar while complimenting Dr Singh posted on X, “The expansion and enhancement of the Dranga-Goha-Khellani road has received sanction, with the tender process initiated in record time.”

“This essential project will bring immense relief to the communities of Khellani, Marmat, Goha, and other localities. I offer my sincere thanks to PMO @DrJitendraSingh for his unshakeable support in securing project approval,” he posted.

Parihar said that during the Modi Government unprecedented development took place in J&K and the areas which had been neglected by successive State and Central Governments were considered for developmental projects by present Government on priority basis.

He said with the construction of these road projects the trade and tourism in the erstwhile Doda district will get a boost.
