Anantnag : The Republic Day Parade 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shaheed Humayun Muzammil Government Degree College, Anantnag. The Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, Ms. Sakeena Masood Itoo , unfurled the National Flag and took the salute at the impressive March Past, accompanied by SSP Anantnag, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy.
The Parade featured contingents from CRPF, IRP, District Police, SOG, SPOs, Home Guards, NCC cadets, and school students.
In her address, the Hon’ble Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Anantnag and highlighted the District’s progress in education, health, communication, agriculture, and youth services and sports.
The event also included vibrant cultural performances by schoolchildren, which added to the celebratory spirit. Prizes were awarded to the best parade contingents and performers, while Police and civil administration personnel were honored with certificates for their exemplary contributions to Public service.
The celebration was attended by honorable MLAs, DIG South Kashmir Range, DC Anantnag, the DDC Chairman, and senior officers from the Police, Army, CRPF, and Civil Administration, alongside an enthusiastic Public turnout.
