KUPWARA : As part of the structured rollout of the SAATHI Campaign (Survey for Aadhaar and Access to Tracking & Holistic Inclusion), coordinated meetings were conducted today at Tehsils of Lalpora and Sogam, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority, Kupwara, and the supervision of the respective Tehsildars.
The meetings brought together representatives from all relevant departments and field-level stakeholders considered essential to the identification and support of destitute, orphaned, abandoned, and undocumented children within their respective jurisdictions. The participating agencies included officials from ICDS/CDPO, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, Health and Education Departments, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA Kupwara, and local panchayat representatives, among others.
During the proceedings, Tehsildar Sogam and Tehsildar Lalpora issued clear directives to all stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of interdepartmental synergy, accountability, and proactive field engagement. They underscored the imperative of conducting the survey with efficiency, accuracy, and compassion, aligning with the core objective of the SAATHI initiative—ensuring universal Aadhaar enrolment and access to legal entitlements for every child in need.
All departments were instructed to initiate immediate field-level action, maintain coordinated communication with their respective Tehsil SAATHI Units, and provide regular progress updates to the DLSA.
