Sajad Lone welcomes ex-trade leader Mohammad Amin Khan & his supporters into PC

Srinagar : Former senior state trade leader Mohammad Amin Khan, accompanied by dozens of his supporters, formally joined Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference today in a ceremony held at Tikker, Kupwara.

The joining ceremony, conducted at Khan’s residence, was presided over by Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone, who characterized the development as a powerful endorsement of the party’s expanding influence and growing momentum across the Kupwara constituency.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent party leaders, including Chief Spokesperson and former MLA Kupwara Advocate Bashir Ahmad Dar, DDC Chairman Irfan Panditpuri, District President Hafizullah Mir, and Lolab Incharge Mudasir Akbar Shah. Other senior party members in attendance included DDC Suliman Mir, DDC Habibullah Beigh, Advocate Abdul Majeed and Tahir Sofi, underlining the significance the party leadership attached to this political development.

Welcoming Khan into the party fold, Sajad Lone emphasized the broader implications of this move, stating, “This is not merely an individual joining our ranks, but rather Kupwara itself speaking through its representatives. The support of seasoned and respected leaders like Amin Khan Sahib demonstrates that the political ground is shifting and the people are ready to make their voices heard through Peoples Conference platform.”

Lone further articulated the party’s vision, asserting that PC remains steadfastly committed to restoring dignified politics to the region—politics that is firmly rooted in local aspirations, genuine grassroots concerns and sustainable development initiatives that directly benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“We are witnessing a political awakening where experienced leaders are choosing substance over symbolism and genuine representation over empty rhetoric. This joining reinforces our belief that the people of Kashmir deserve politics that serves their interests, not political theatrics that serve individual ambitions,” he added

The ceremony concluded with party leaders expressing optimism about strengthening their organizational structure and expanding their reach across the valley, as they continue building what they describe as a genuinely representative political movement focused on addressing the real challenges facing the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
