Security Review Meeting Held in Kupwara for Upcoming Elections

Kupwara : Today, a comprehensive security review meeting and briefing session was conducted at the District Police Lines, Kupwara, in preparation for the upcoming GELS-2024 . The meeting saw the participation of Commandants, Company Commanders, of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Police Zonal Officers/Sector Officers and Officers of District Police Kupwara.

The meeting was chaired by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Shobith Saksena-IPS. During the meeting, officers were briefed on the specific nature of their duties and responsibilities during the election period.
Various issues and concerns were raised by officers from both CAPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) who are assigned election duties in the district. In response, SSP Kupwara led a thorough interactive session to address these concerns, ensuring clarity and readiness for the upcoming electoral process.
