SHD Shopian conducts selection of beneficiaries for establishment of Sheep Units under ISDS, RKVY schemes

Allots 80 Sheep Units among beneficiaries of the district through draw of lots method

SHOPIAN : The Sheep Husbandry Department (SHD) Shopian today conducted selection of beneficiaries under various components of ISDS/RKVY schemes including ISDS Participatory (10 ewes), ISDS/RKVY Recycled (10 ewes), ISDS 50% Subsidy based (20 ewes) and ISDS Shearing Unit (50% Subsidy) for establishment of Sheep and Shearing Units in the district.

J&K govt facilitates safe return of residents, students from Iran

The selection was carried out in presence of a designated Committee under the chairmanship of District Sheep Husbandry Officer Shopian, Accounts Officer, DC office Shopian, Sheep and Wool Development Officer Shopian and Veterinary Assistant Surgeons of various Sheep Development Blocks as members.
Joint Director Extension, Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir also graced the occasion as Monitoring Officer.
A huge gathering of people from various CD Blocks of the District participated in the selection process including PRIs.
A total of 80 Beneficiaries were selected for establishment of 80 Sheep and Shearing Units in the district comprising of 09 units under ISDS Participatory (10 ewes), 23 units under ISDS/RKVY Recycled, 43 units under ISDS 50% Subsidy mode (20 ewes) and 05 ISDS Shearing Units.
The whole selection process was conducted smoothly and in a transparent manner through the draw of lots method.
