Snowfall: Train service suspended on Banihal-Baramulla track

Srinagar : Train services along the Banihal-Baramulla track have been temporarily suspended due to heavy snow accumulation and ongoing snowfall, officials said on Saturday.

“A WDM3 locomotive equipped with a snow cutter will be deployed to clear the track as required by the permanent way (pway) department before allowing any train movement,” the official said, adding that a decision on the resumption of services will be taken after assessing the situation—(KNO)
