Kupwara : SUHAIL YOUSUF SHAH
Jammu Kashmir Social Forestry Division Kupwara today commenced a plantation drive from Halmatpora Higher Secondary School in order to assure eco-friendly environment to the future generation by ensuring the involvement of the youth especially the students to whom our future belongs to.
The plantation drive was organised under the leadership of DFO SF Division Kupwara, Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat.
Many plants were planted during the respective drive as we are facing drastic climatic change which is resulting in global warming.
Senior trade union leader and convenor TUCC Mr Syed Ghulam Rasool Geelani also joined hands for this noble cause and appealed whole community to plant more and more trees and ensure the protection of the green-gold in order to maintain ecological balance.
Along with the rank and files of the SF department which includes Range Officer SF Range Kupwara, Qazi Sajid Mahmood, Principal Halmathpora Higher Sec. Mohammad Ahsan, Principal Girls Higher Sec. Kupwara Mr Bashir Ahmad, teachers,students and other dignitaries also took part in the plantation drive.
