Social Welfare Department Kulgam organizes training prog on Nasha Mukt Bharat

KULGAM : Social Welfare Department Kulgam, in collaboration with the Tehsil Administration Devsar, organized a comprehensive day long training programme for members of the Tehsil and Panchayat-level Interdepartmental Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) committees at the Townhall Hall Devsar.
The objective of this programme was to equip committee members with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively fulfill their responsibilities at the grassroots level.
Experts from the Social Welfare Department kulgam, Drug De-addiction Centre Kulgam (DDAC), Addiction Treatment Facility of District Hospital Kulgam, and the District Drug Controller’s office provided valuable insights during the training sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehsildar Devsar emphasized the importance of parental involvement, religious leaders, and community support in combating drug abuse. He called for thier active collaboration to address this pressing issue effectively.
The event also featured the distribution of stationery kits and bags by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women Kulgam as part of promoting educational empowerment under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.
