Some Exchange Of Fire Between Militants And Security Forces In Kulgam

Srinagar : Some exchange of fire took place between militants and security forces in Mudergham area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

A top police officer told that a team of Police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mudergham on a very specific input.

As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to a brief exchange of fire, the officer added.

Till this report was being filed there was no exchange of fire from both side.

However cordon has been tightened in the area.
