Sopore : In an outreach initiative, Sopore Police organized an interactive meeting with retired police officers at District Police Lines Sopore to honour their contributions and address welfare-related concerns.
The meeting was chaired by SSP Sopore, along with DySP DAR Sopore, and attended by several retired officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Sopore paid rich tributes to the legacy of retired personnel, stating that while their active service may have concluded, their presence remains a guiding force for the serving ranks.
“You are not retired—you are revered. Your spirit still guards these gates, and your legacy lives on in every shift we serve,” he remarked.
The retired officers shared valuable insights and raised concerns related to post-retirement welfare, pensionary matters, and continued engagement with the department. The chairing officers assured them that genuine issues would be taken up promptly for redressal.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of Sopore Police’s commitment to strengthening the bond between serving and retired personnel—preserving not just a structure of service, but a family in uniform.
This initiative reflects Sopore Police’s dedication to honouring the past, empowering the present, and building a legacy of respect, service, and unity
