SSP Ganderbal Inaugurates Library-cum-Reading Room in District

Srinagar : A library-cum-reading room housed in the Municipal building at New Bus Stand of the district, after being established by J&K Police and the Municipal Council Ganderbal under the Civic Action Program, was inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta on Wednesday.

As per the news agency, a police spokesperson said that SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta inaugurated the library in which Addl. SP Ganderbal Malik Aijaz, Gh Hassan Hqrs Ganderbal, Dy.SP DAR DPL Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Teachers, Students, Civil Society members, respectables of the district and media fraternity were also present.

“While speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal stressed upon the students to take studies seriously for their better and successful future, he also impressed upon them that they should also take part in sports activities as it helps to boost self-confidence, concentration, physical as well as mental health. Furthermore, he stated that students should make optimum use of time and channelize their energy in the right directions and take good benefits of the newly established library in the district,” the police spokesperson said.

At the end, community members, teachers, especially the students expressed their joy and enthusiasm besides appreciating the role of Ganderbal Police for arranging and providing them with such facilities in order to boost their morale, “which enhances curiosity for book-readings and to develop proficiencies in choosing better educational careers for students.” (CNS)
