SSP PD Handwara reviews Republic Day-2025 arrangements at DPO Handwara

Handwara : In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations-2025, Senior Superintendent of Police PD Handwara Sh. Mushtaq Ahmad-JKPS chaired a security review meeting in the Conference Hall of DPO Handwara. The meeting was attended by the Commanding Officers of 21 RR, 32 RR, 30 RR, 15 RR, Commandants of 26th and 27 Battalions of BSF and Commandants of 92/162 Battalions.

During the course of deliberations, the security measures/ preparations to be taken for Republic Day Celebrations were briefed by the concerning Officers and presented their detailed plans, and strategies to enhance the security cover of their areas of responsibility in order to ensure proper protection of public spaces, and facilitate smooth conduct of national event.
Key aspects were come to discussions included strategies to be adopted, crowd management, traffic regulatory plans and intelligence revelations. In a way to conclude the event incident free, SSP PD Handwara assigned multiple tasks to the concerning officers and instructed them to accomplish them with precision and proper planning. Necessary directions were given with regard to inputs to thwart any potential threat which may likely cause disruptions in upcoming Republic day celebrations. It was emphasized upon the officers to maintain high level of alertness and increase area domination in their respective areas to give befitting response to ANEs and defeat their ill designs.
It was further directed that elements involved in disturbing the peaceful atmosphere should be dealt strictly under relevant provisions of law besides stringent action should be taken against elements who misuse social media platforms and provoke youth to indulge in violence.
The meeting concluded with the resolve to ensure safe and peaceful conduct of Republic Day celebrations.
