Srinagar: Apni Party’s President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas have strongly condemned the grenade attack —killing two non-local labourers— at the rented accommodation of the two labourers in Harmain village of the district.

Pertinently, two labourers Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh got critically injured in this attack, and later both the victims succumbed in the hospital.

In his statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari strongly condemned the attack and killing of the two non-local workers. He said, “I am shocked that just two days after a Kashmir Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat was killed outside his house at the Chowdhary Gund village in Shopian, terrorists have again carried a brutal attack against innocent people. I fail to understand what the terrorists want to achieve by killing innocent people. This mindless violence must be put to an end.”

He expressed his sympathies with the families of the killed labourers. He said, “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the two men, who had come here just to earn bread and butter for their families back home.”

Meanwhile, Apni Party’s Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas has expressed grief and shock over the killing of two non-local labourers.

In his statement, Manhas said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about this attack on innocent labourers who were here to earn a livelihood. This is shocking and everyone in the society must condemn such attack unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms.”

Manhas expressed solidarity with the kith and kin of the killed labourers. He said, “One can imagine the pain and anguish that the families of these labourers must be feeling at this point in time. No words of sympathy can help to ease their pain at this time. I stand in solidarity with the bereaved.”
