Srinagar : The Teachers Forum on Thursday requests authorities to declare winter vacations for winter zones of the Jammu Division. Areas like Madwa, Doda, Ramban, and others, which traditionally observed winter vacations along with Kashmir Division, are now ignored.
Due to the cold and chilly season, students in these schools face numerous problems, with upper reaches remaining snowbound for months.
M Amin Khan, Chairman of Teachers Forum J&K and Provincial President EJAC, urges authorities to reinstate winter vacations for these neglected areas in Jammu Division.
The Teachers Forum also appeals to Principal Secretary School Education Department, Shri Alok Kumar, to release DDO powers to headless institutions and zones promptly, ensuring teachers do not face issues regarding salaries and other related matters.
