A 20-year-old youth from Srinagar has developed Webipe – a software that provides back-end support for local businesses, start-ups, entrepreneurs and many international websites.
Hailing from Srinagar’s Lal Bazar area, Fayiq Ahmad, an engineering student, has done his schooling at Green Valley Educational Institute.
Talking to the news agency, Fayiq said he discovered his passion for web development at the age of 15. He used to spend his spare time learning programming languages by himself and working on small projects for local businesses.
In no time, he gained a reputation as a skilled and reliable developer, and his client base began to grow. In order to meet the increasing demand for his services, Fayiq decided to turn his passion into a full-time career and started his own web development company. Over the next few years, his company thrived.
“I have created many websites and have provided back-end support to many start-up ideas. I also helped many people to open their business by providing them with support of websites,” the young software developer told. “I make websites and web pages, and also provide SEO support to many locals as well as international clients.”
His clients contact him through WhatsApp, e-mail and the official website www.webipe.com. He also provided hosting and other services.
“It’s my dream to be a top-notch developer, and for that purpose, I will work very hard and make my parents very much proud,” Fayiq said. “I would like to request the youth of the valley to gain tech skills without wasting time. It will make them self-sufficient in the face of rising unemployment.”
