Dr. Rizwan Ahmad Thakur – is an eminent scientist and profound academician who recently has taken over as Director of IITM India. He has served King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia in various capacities such as Director e-Learning Establishment, Director – Information Technology, Head & Professor – School of Computer Science Engineering, Head & Professor – School of Information Systems etc. Dr. Thakur also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the reputed international journal viz. Journal on Data Science and Big Data Analytics.
Dr. Thakur is one of the most widely experienced leaders in higher education, known for his commitment to expanding student opportunity, catalyzing academic innovation, and encouraging universities’ civic engagement and service to society. Dr. Thakur holds his Doctorate in Information Security from CCCU, United Kingdom. He carries two majors from KU, India, one in Computer Applications (MCA) with specialization in Wireless and Mobile Communication Technology and the other in Business Administration (MBA) with dual core specializations in Marketing and Finance. He is an Oracle Certified Professional OCP DBA from Oracle Corporation, USA.
Dr. Thakur is an expert in the field of Big Data Security and Human Strategic Intelligence. He has contributed significantly in the field of his expertise and carries numerous research publications as well. Eight international universities across the globe have nominated Dr. Thakur as an executive member of their respective International Advisory Boards. He is also a visiting professor at universities in France, Italy, Turkey, UAE and Germany. He is an executive member of editorial boards of several reputed international journals. Dr. Thakur also serves as IT and business consultant to several Fortune 500 companies including Valero Inc. USA and Amazon Inc. USA and is frequently sought for expert opinion by different GCC and European Union business establishments.
In the pursuit of knowledge and adroitness Dr. Thakur has travelled extensively to more than 44 countries across globe to attend conferences, workshops and seminars. Numerous times, Dr. Thakur has been conferred with the best researcher and the best speaker awards at international conferences and summits. He is also credited for his guidance to numerous research scholars for the PhD degrees and has coordinated several international projects as well. Dr. Thakur has also been sought as consultant by Government of India for NEP 2020. Dr. Thakur was invited by Fleming Inc. USA to address the august gathering in a reputed conference Kingdom Education Innovation. He has also been the Chairman for the Board of Directors — KH International Inc. USA. Dr. Thakur has also served as Investigator for SDR in Planning Commission, Government of India.
