BARAMULLA : In an effort towards streamlining digital governance, District Treasury Office Baramulla today organized a detailed training session on the newly introduced Pension Suvidha portal for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) at his office chamber.
The session held in line with the directions from the Director General Accounts & Treasuries, J&K, aimed to ensure smooth transition to a paperless pension processing system. Developed collaboratively by the J&K Government, the Accountant General and NIC, the Pension Suvidha portal is designed to enhance transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in handling pension cases of retiring government employees.
District Treasury Officer Baramulla, outlined the key features of the portal. He highlighted the significance of timely and error-free submission of pension cases and urged the DDOs to adopt the digital procedures in full earnest to avoid delays.
Participants were trained on step-by-step usage of the portal, including login credentials, document uploads, digital verification processes, and final submission of cases through the online system.
DTO emphasized that the portal marks a transformative shift in pension case management, benefiting both the departments and retirees by reducing procedural delays and manual errors.
To ensure smooth implementation, DTO also informed that further handholding sessions and technical support would be extended to DDOs and concerned staff in the coming days to address any operational challenges.
