Two notorious criminals nabbed with pistol, other items

Gandhi Nagar Police nabbed two notorious criminals along with pistol and other items. As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma and assisted by Incharge Police Post Nehru Market SI Rohit Gandhi, Incharge Police Post Digiana SI Tarsem Raj, PSI Sayaf, PSI Sonu Choudhary, PSI Majid and PSI Basharat conducted raid and arrested two notorious criminals. The arrested criminals were identified as Malkeet Singh, son of Harbinder Singh and Gaganpreet Singh, son of Amrik Singh, both residents of Nanak Nagar District Jammu. During their personal search, police team recovered one pistol, magazine, 4 live cartridges and one sharp edged weapon. They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 106/2019 under sections 302 and 34 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act with Police Station Gandhi Nagar. It is pertinent to mention here that out of the two absconders, accused namely Malkeet Singh, son of Harvinder Singh of Nanak Nagar District Jammu was out on parole for few days but he didn’t reported back and reportedly had fled to Nepal. Another absconder namely Gaganpreet Singh was evading his arrest since the lodge of FIR. A fresh case FIR Number 193/2022 under section 3/4 Arms Act has been registered against these arrested notorious criminals at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.(JLN)
