Usman Majid to contest election from Bandipora Constituency.

Galvanizing the core cadre to put their might and win the Bandipora constituency in the forthcoming elections, Usman Majid reiterated his conviction to serve the people of Bandipora till his last breathe clearing all the doubts about contesting next Assembly election from Bandipora.

Accusing his opponents of spreading canards about his intentions, Majid said that he would fight elections from Bandipora . “I am not going to leave my constituency, which has given me everything. Thanks to the support I have received from the people of Bandipora, along with the confidence the voters have reposed in me, I have been elected to the assembly from the Bandipora twice.

The former legislator attributed the origin of rumours to those who were resentful of his rise in the constituency, and his popularity among the people. “My record in my constituency has endeared me to the voters, prompting my opponents to spread such cock-and-bull stories,” Majid added.

Majid while addressing the meeting asked the cadre not to believe reports in the media of him not contesting elections from Bandipora, These are nothing but rumours. he said.

Addressing a meeting at his office in Bandipora , which was attended by District President, District vice president, District Organizer, District Coordinator, Zonal President, DDC Members, ST Cell President, ST Cell Youth President , BDC’s, Block Presidents, Sarpanchs, Panches, Halqa Presidents and other functionaries pf the party

Describing the current political climate in Jammu and Kashmir “very conducive” for Apni Party to come to power, former Minister & Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid urged cadres to make special efforts to woo people from all sections of the society, to ensure party’s victory in the coming Assembly.

Majid told the party workers to get connected with the people at grass roots and do their best to resolve their issues they are facing in absence of the democratically elected representatives.

Present is ours but we all must make efforts to retain the forte and grab the future too,” Majid was quoted as having told the meeting, He stated that party is getting stronger with each passing day as more and more people are joining it. He said that we have to strengthen the party at booth levels. You must build a close rapport with the people in your villages to make party stronger day by day,” he told the meeting.

People of Bandipora have embraced me, because of my clear goal of development, prosperity of common people and good governance. He stressed on strengthening the “polling booth structure” in every segment across the length and breadth in Bandipora. He asked the party cadre to reach out to more people.
