ANANTNAG : Block Verinag in Anantnag today witnessed an impressive advancement during VBSY IEC Van’s journey through Batagund C, Omoh A, Omoh B, Batagund A, Batagund B, Nawgam A, Nawgam B, Rainchowgund A, Rainchowgund B and Qammar A.

Going beyond mere pledges, the Yatra manifests tangible advancements, exceeding expectations in Anantnag, bringing together over 2.50 lakh participants across 335 Gram Panchayats and 138 Urban local bodies.

The Yatra camps have evolved into dynamic hubs, actively involving the community in various events and providing immediate services. The health camps played a pivotal role, screening 93,347 individuals for prevalent health issues such as TB, sickle cell anemia, and non-communicable diseases.

More than 16,097 dedicated My Bharat volunteers and a remarkable 2.28 lakh individuals pledged their commitment through the transformative “Sankalp Pledge” in District Anantnag. Recognitions were extended to noteworthy contributors, including 1,288 women, 3,601 students, 396 local artists, and 397 sports personalities, honoring their unwavering dedication.

The Yatra actively engaged farmers by showcasing drone demonstrations and hosting Soil Health Card sessions, fostering the adoption of sustainable Natural Farming practices. Celebrating milestones such as achieving 100% JJM saturation, ODF+ status, and the Digitization of Land Records underscored the commitment to sustainable development. Central to the initiative were 9,777 beneficiaries who shared their stories in “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” sessions, vividly illustrating the profound impact of government schemes on their lives.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra transcends being merely an initiative; it has evolved into a grassroots movement for inclusive development. This journey exemplifies India’s dedication to comprehensive development, actively engaging, educating, and uplifting every citizen towards collective progress.
