KUPWARA, MARCH 14: Vice Chairman, District Development Council (VC-DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir today inspected NTPHC Maindapora of Lolab sub division and took stock of the functioning and issues of the hospital. He was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Teli; BMO Sogam and other Health officers.
On the occasion, the Vice Chairman inspected the functioning of the hospital and heard about the issues of the hospital from Health staff and local people. The issues raised include dilapidated condition of the NTPHC building; non-availability of doctors and technical staff, scarcity of power supply etc.
The Vice Chairman heard the issues patiently and said that the issues raised have already been taken up with higher ups of the Health department including Commissioner Secretary and Director Health Services Kashmir.
The Vice Chairman said that the Health sector is among the top priorities of the UT Government and health facilities have been upgraded in all nooks and corners of the J&K. He assured the people that the issues related to the NTPHC have been taken up with the higher ups who have shown a good gesture in resolving them in a time bound manner. He further reassured them of every possible support for upliftment of the Health Centre which has a huge population to cater for.
Later, the VC inspected various ongoing developmental works including construction of Nayabat Office/Patwar Khana Khurhama, BDC Building Wavoora, Panchayat Bhawan Maidanpora, Maulana Anwar Shah Kashmiri Stadium Kuligam and Sub Centre building sever.
XEN REW, Er. Gulzar; AEE, Er. Javaid Boda, BDO Wavoora, Arshid Ganaie, concern Sarpanchs and PRIs accompanied the VC.
