World Environment Day Celebrated at Army Goodwill School, Raghavan on the Line of Control

Kupwara : World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of June. Even this year the event was celebrated on a grand scale all across Kashmir.

Numerous Events were undertaken by the Civilians as well as the military which included cleanliness & awareness drives on waste management, rain water harvesting and introduction to the concept of 3R ( Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).

A lecture was also organised on the benefits of afforestation for the permanent residents of the Area by local Army Unit and the staff of Army Goodwill School, Raghvan. Thereafter the future generations of the Area volunteered for plantation and cleanliness drives.

The Local Army Unit also carried out massive plantation and cleanliness drives along the Line of Control.
