KUPWARA : On the eve of ‘World Sight Day’, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today inaugurated a ‘Special Eye Screening camp’ at D.C Office, here.
The Camp was organized by District Health Society Kupwara under the banner “Love Your Eyes at Work” in which an Ophthalmology Surgeon and Ophthalmology Technician were deployed.
On the occasion, the DC appreciated the efforts of the Health Department Kupwara for organizing the Eye Screening camp. She asked the concerned to continue such initiatives which will benefit the people in large.
Meanwhile, eye screening of around 50 employees of D.C Office Complex were held during the Special Eye Screening camp.
It was informed that Eye Screening checkups were also held in all Health Institutions of the district including CHCs, PHCs and H&WCs in which eye checkups of large numbers of people were carried out.
Chief Medical Officer Kupwara and Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara and other officers and officials were present at the event.
