Kupwara : As part of the ongoing nationwide campaign against drug abuse, the 4th Battalion of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (4 JKAP IR) organised an awareness programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Battalion Headquarters, Wayen, Kupwara. The initiative was held as part of the 100-day campaign aimed at promoting a drug-free and healthy society.
The programme witnessed the participation of around 80 officers and officials of the Battalion, including all Gazetted Officers, reflecting a strong commitment towards combating the menace of substance abuse.
On the occasion, Shri Ravinder Paul Singh, JKPS, SSP Commandant, 4 JKAP IR, addressed the gathering and highlighted the serious challenges posed by drug addiction in society. He stressed the importance of the three core pillars of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan—prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation—and emphasized the need for collective community participation in eradicating the drug menace.
The event featured interactive sessions, awareness lectures, and motivational talks focusing on the harmful effects of substance abuse and the shared responsibility of society in addressing this pressing issue.
An awareness rally was also conducted during the programme to spread the message of a drug-free society among the general public.
The Battalion reaffirmed its commitment to continue organizing such awareness initiatives in the future, further strengthening the mission of building a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
