Handwara Police Organizes ‘Thana Diwas’ Across the District

Handwara : In a significant step towards community engagement and public outreach, Handwara Police organized Thana Diwas across the district as part of an initiative by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The event, aimed at strengthening the bond between the police and the public, was held at various police stations, where meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional police officers. The gatherings saw participation from local associations, community leaders, and prominent citizens of the area.

During the interactive sessions, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, including law enforcement, safety concerns, and administrative matters. Police officers assured the attendees that grievances related to policing would be addressed on priority, while issues falling under civil administration would be escalated to the concerned departments for timely resolution.

The Thana Diwas initiative plays a vital role in fostering transparency, building trust, and ensuring prompt redressal of public concerns. Such engagements reflect the commitment of the police force to work in close coordination with the community, making governance more accessible and responsive to the needs of the people.
