DC Kupwara Inspects Transit Accommodation at Nutnussa, Directs Completion Within a Fortnight

KUPWARA : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Abhishek Sharma, today inspected the Transit Accommodation at Nutnussa to take firsthand stock of the progress of ongoing development works. He was accompanied by ADC Handwara, Superintending Engineers of PWD, I&FC and Hydraulics, Tehsildar and other concerned officers.

The project comprises 12 blocks with 192 flats and, upon completion, will significantly strengthen transit accommodation facilities in the district.

During the inspection, the DC reviewed the pace of execution and directed the SE PWD to ensure completion of the project within the next fortnight. He further instructed the concerned officers to identify and resolve any bottlenecks on priority to avoid delays.

The DC also reviewed the prospects for landscaping and beautification of the premises, reuse of wastewater and operationalisation of the lift system. The concerned departments, including PHE and Power Development, were directed to ensure the proper functioning of essential services and equipment, along with adequate upkeep of the premises.
