The property is located in Usmania Colony, Badamwari, Lal Bazar, and stands in the name of Arshid Ahmed Sheikh, son of Wali Mohammad Sheikh, resident of the same locality. The accused is a habitual drug peddler and is involved in FIR No. 50/2025 under Sections 8 and 20 NDPS Act at Police Station Lal Bazar and FIR No. 31/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Janipur, Jammu.

During the investigation, it was established that the asset had been acquired through proceeds generated from drug trafficking. Accordingly, the competent authority issued orders for attachment under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The attachment was executed in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Khanyar, and two independent witnesses, ensuring full compliance with legal formalities. As per the order, the owner is now prohibited from selling, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the said property.

Srinagar Police remains committed to intensifying its crackdown on drug peddlers and dismantling their financial and operational networks to safeguard society from the growing drug menace.
