The camp witnessed the participation of a number of women from the area, who came forward to share their concerns and register grievances. The women police officers listened to the complainants and addressed several grievances on the spot, ensuring prompt relief to the women concerned.

The initiative provided a safe and accessible platform for women to express their concerns and seek police assistance in a supportive environment. It also aimed to strengthen public confidence in the police and encourage women to approach law enforcement authorities without hesitation.

According to the police, the outreach programme reflects Kupwara Police’s commitment to responsive, accessible and women-friendly policing, with an emphasis on resolving public grievances at the grassroots level through direct interaction with the community.

Kupwara Police reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the dignity, rights and security of women, adding that such public outreach initiatives would continue to ensure that women’s concerns are heard and addressed promptly, sensitively and in accordance with the law.
