Budgam Police seized 01 JCB, 03 Tippers and arrested 04 persons for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.

Budgam : Police Station Chadoora seized 01 JCB Machine & 03 Tippers at Kanir Chadoora who were found excavating soil illegally from Government land at Kanir Chadoora and arrested 04 persons on spot. The arrested persons have been identified as:-

01)Farooq Ahmad S/o Atta Mohammad R/o Nambla Baramulla
02) Nazir Ahmad Sofi S/o Mohd Abdullah R/o Hushroo
03 Reyaz Ahmad Bhat S/ o Abdul Rehman Bhat R/o Hushroo
04) Showkat Ahmad Bhat S/o Fayaz Ahmad Bhat R/o Yarikalan Chadoora
Registration numbers of seized tippers are:- JK01F-4653, JK04C-4771, JK01AJ-6433

Case FIR Number 180/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Chadoora and investigation taken up.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
