With the arrest of 4 more persons, a total of 13 arrests have been made by the CBI in this case.

The four more arrests include Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Jammu and Kashmir police Ashok Kumar, CRPF constable Surinder Kumar, and two printing press workers Vajinder Singh and Pradeep Kumar from Haryana and New Delhi respectively.

Sources said that a day prior to the examination, printing press workers from Haryana and New Delhi had supplied papers to agents for circulation.

CRPF constable Surinder Kumar invited candidates to buy the leaked papers. Each candidate paid 5 lakh to 20 lakh Rupees per paper.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ashok Kumar’s daughter, son, and son-in-law were on the merit list.

The J&K Police in its preliminary inquiry found that there was a gross violation of the rules and norms in the SI recruitment as most of the candidates on the merit list were from Jammu’s Rajouri and Samba districts.
